About Our Team
Each lawyer in our firm is designated by the State Bar of California Department of Legal Specialization as a Certified Specialist in Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law—a designation that fewer than half of one percent of active attorneys in San Francisco can claim. We prioritize maintaining this designation because estate planning and Trust and Probate Law is complex and constantly changing, and we want to serve our clients as best we can.
Our services include asset protection, sophisticated estate tax reduction, dynasty planning, real estate ownership and transactions, business succession, and trust and probate litigation services. We can complete everything in-house from plan creation through execution and notarization. Once your trusts and other entities are created, we are also available to help you administer them. We realize that building a legacy requires working with many different advisors. Our strategy to help you plan effectively may also include working with your existing tax advisor, CPA, or Financial Planner or assisting you in finding a team.

Erika L. Yuen
Partner
Erika is a Certified Specialist in Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law—fewer than half of one percent of attorneys in San Francisco can claim this as of 2022. Erika grew up in and works in San Francisco and surrounding areas. She focuses on helping families to craft complete estate plans, which include revocable living trusts, pour-over wills, durable power of attorney, HIPAA releases, Advance Healthcare Directives, and directives to physicians. Erika tailors her clients’ wealth preservation plan to their unique family dynamics and business succession needs. Erika also draws on her experience in trust and estate litigation to inform her trust administration and planning.
Erika received a B.A. in Diplomacy and World Affairs from Occidental College and a J.D. from the University of Washington School of Law. Erika has contributed to the Continuing Education of the Bar (CEB®) Practitioner™ series on Trust and Probate Administration and to the series on Estate Planning.
The publishers of Law & Politics and San Francisco Magazine listed Erika as a “Super Lawyer” for Northern California in 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023. This “Super Lawyer” distinction is given to less than 5 percent of attorneys.

Frank W. Yuen
Partner
Frank is a California State Bar Certified Specialist in Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law. Frank specializes in complete wealth preservation plans. Frank grew up in and remains in San Francisco and has been practicing in the city for more than 45 years. He also advises and negotiates the sale, purchase, and valuation of commercial and residential real property interests on behalf of his clients. He has also worked with overseas (foreign nationals) and out-of-state clients requiring counsel on advanced estate planning & income strategies.
Frank received a B.A. in International Business and Political Science from California State University at San Francisco. He was a nationally selected Coro Fellow in Public Affairs (1972) for Northern California. Frank received an M.A. in Urban Studies from Occidental College and a J.D./M.B.A. (Taxation), and LL.M. in Taxation from Golden Gate University.
Frank has taught classes for attorneys on the subjects of Limited Liability Company and Partnership planning for the National Business Institute and Estate Administration with WealthCounsel, LLC.
